A FELLOW-TO-FELLOW-FELLOWSHIP OF THE AKADEMIE SCHLOSS SOLITUDE'S NETWORK

Dear colleagues, contributors to and creators of NetworkGrant,
In the name of the pilot initiative NetworkGrant we thank you all for you engagement!

The launch of NetworkGrant, an initiative of former fellows at Akademie Schloss Solitude, created a new way for imagining the concept of collaboration between the arts, sciences, and cultural sectors. Last year, former and current fellows of Akademie Schloss Solitude were invited to nominate artists for a potential fellowship at Solitude. By doing so, the fellows network actively contributed to and promoted individual cultural practices on a global level. In July, the jury – Elke aus dem Moore, head of visual arts at the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, and Sinethemba Twalo, artist, author, curator and DJ from Johannesburg – selected the French artist couple Magali Daniaux and Cédric Pigot to be the first fellows of this pilot project. In their statement, the jury pointed out the “criticality” of the interdisciplinary couple and expressed its interest in seeing how they will encounter the institution Solitude and create new ties within and beyond the Akademie’s network. Magali Daniaux and Cédric Pigot will arrive at Solitude for their fellowship in Spring 2015, in the year of the residency’s 25th anniversary.

DONATE!
Friends and associates of the Solitude network are also welcome to support this participatory fellowship by donating as much as they like. Each engagement will further expand the potentialities of the project. We will keep you informed on www.networkgrant.org and Facebook.

The candidates´ fellowship will take place in 2015.
